Palm Springs Tramway is celebrating its second annual “First Responders Days”. Throughout the entire month of August, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is welcoming all qualified first responders and honoring them with free admission as part of the celebration. First responders can also bring up to four guests to each receive 25% off their regular tram fares.
Tramway General Manager Nancy Nichols says, “We are happy to have our second annual First Responders Days and welcome the men and women who so courageously protect and serve our communities. We truly hope they enjoy their visit with us and make cherished memories with their families and friends.”
Qualifying personnel include:
- Fire and police personnel
- California Highway Patrol
- County Sheriff Officers
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
A full list of qualifying personnel can be found at www.pstramway.com. This program runs August 1-31st, 2019 with tickets (only) available at the Tramway’s Valley Station on the day of visit.
Travel high above the beautiful cliffs of Chino Canyon in Palm Springs Aerial Tramway – “the world’s largest rotating tram car” that travels over 2.5 miles. Peer down over the wild Mt. San Jacinto State Park and explore the wilderness that lies below the tram car. The journey offers 360 degree views from the rotating tram cars, while you spend the 10 minute ride admiring the serene valleys below. After the trip is over, you’ll find yourself at 8,516 ft of elevation at the Mountain Station. At the top you can explore over 50 miles or hiking trails, eat at one of the two restaurants, and check out the observation decks, natural history museum, or two documentary theaters. Don’t forget to make a stop in the gift shop!
